Our labrador Caesar was diagnosed with an aggressive form of liver cancer, we went to Ocean state and they were great, but they are an emergency clinic. We could not get an appointment to see Dr. Bergman nor did he ever take the time to read the lab report. Did not care one bit about our dog. Wrote him off right away. They pushed out his visit and told us to go back to ocean State. The doctor never had the decency to pick up and call us with the results. The staff told us that it was not the doctors “specialty”. We ended up calling Salt Pond Veterinary Clinic, they took him in right away, even though we had never been there and the clinic does not specialize in cancer. Dr. Lester had read the entire report when we arrived. Even though the findings were grim, he did everything he could to make his final days comfortable. He had Caesar’s best interest at heart and truly cared. Caesar deserved that same level of care from Village Veterinary Center whom he had been with for years. We simply wanted a check up here to make his final days comfortable and they refused. If that’s who you want to take care of your animal in their final days then this is the right place, but we will never ever return.

Excellent experience everytime. Have been using for 5 years for our two dogs. Staff is always helpful responsive and friendly. The Dr always does a great job. The dogs love going and seeing everyone.

We had to put our cat down. He was 17, and quickly getting progressively sicker. Dr. Bergman and Sarah were great. They made the experience as good as possible. Sarah fed Hector treats, and he received a lot of loving. He didn’t even seem to notice the injection given, while he was chowing down on treats. We couldn’t have been more satisfied about how it all went.

All of the staff at Village Vet are wonderful. They have been taking care of my dog for years and are always sensitive to her special needs. There is always follow up on tests and referrals in a timely manner. Would not trust my dog with anyone else!

We’ve been taking our dog to dr Dave for 10 years. He and his staff have always been extremely kind and super efficient. I highly recommend them and wouldn’t take Molly anywhere else.
